Michael Jackson: Pedafile to National Hero?

June 25, 2009 Michael Jackson, "The King of Pop", died of cardiac arrest. The thing I don't understand is that today people remember him as the "King of Pop" and everything else is that he has done has suddenly been erased.
Nobody will forget Michael Jackson created the moon walk. Nobody will ever forget the music of the Jackson Five or Thriller or any of Michael Jackson's other songs. But because he was a great musician an excuse to forgive and forget every bad thing he did when he was alive?
Two child-molestation law-suits... how come nobody is remembering this? When I remember June 25, 2009 I think I might think that maybe the world has lost a great musician but is a safer place. The world definitely lost a great actress in Farrah Fawcett yesterday and she is hardly mentioned. Farrah Fawcett never hung a baby out the window. Farrah Fawcett never had allegations of child-molestation against her.
And the thing that seems to shock people is that Michael Jackson died at age 50. After everything he did to his body, people are surprised he died so young? I have no idea what he did to change his skin color but it most definitely wasn't good for him. He did drugs and drugs kill you slowly.
So as to those mourners of Michael Jackson, wonder if you're mourning his music or his drama.

As far as the molestation thing goes...you'd have to be ignorant to believe that, that was true. Michael Jackson never had a real childhood and yeah maybe it was too much to have little kids over his house like that but he never would touch those kids like that...It was just parents that saw money and more than likely had their kids say it was true. Cause even after those charges took place why oooooooo why did another woman (i think she was latino) try to say something about her child get molested but only like how much later...only to get money. the judge knew it and that is why he dismissed her....Michael Jackson was no pedafile but hey you're entitled to your own opinion....You'd have to be a little naive to not understand why everyone is mourning this so called "pedafile". Music would not be where it is @ today if it where not for this man...Music videos, contemporary artists that mimic his dancing, artists that mimic his style were all paved by his brillance. For African Americans he helped place them on MTV since his video was the 1st to be seen on MTV in the 80s...Thriller was and will ALWAYS be the #1 selling album of all time...WHY you ask because MJ was different. His style his music; everything was built on perfection. This is why world is honoring this man... He made a difference in his life that did in fact change A LOT of people's lives and not just w/in the US but internationally. So next time you want to ask why this so called "pedafile" is being celebrating is because he is an individual worth celebrating...Also as far as the molestation thing goes why did Macaulay Culkin even come to his aid...If that was true enough I'm sure he'd given up Michael to the Sharks....

If I were EVER accused of molesting a child, I would fight until the finish. I wouldn't care if it took every cent I had. He was GUILTY....PERIOD!!

There are many other things people could have accused MJ of and gotten money from besides child molestation. If I child says he/she is molested, you DO NOT question it. What kind of message are you sending to that kid? It's not OK that this happened to you, we don't love you because of this, you are dirty. I'm not saying he didn't change the face of music but because he changed the face of music does that mean it's OK to molest innocent children? Is it OK to hang a child out the window? NOOO! Any other person would have gotten 25 to life in prison. His image as the king of pop kept him out of prison.
Michael Jackson should be known as the King of Pedafiles. I bet all the Pedafiles around the world have admired him as he had all the money he needed to purchase anything ( his amusement rides ) & all the other things he used to lure & Keep these boys at his ranch & Money to Keep them "Quiet" along with the money grubbing parents of these children. Think of all the children that may have been saved by his death.

Michael Jackson's music will always be a wonderful walk down memory lane, for me. I grew up with his music, collected his albums and watched him grow up too. I always recogized the inner child and innocence, all one had to do was look at his eyes. I just wished that when he was alive more people would have come forward and spoken up for him. Now, in death he is revered. Its sad. As to whether he was a child molester ? I believe not. His children and the way his oldest, was so broken up about her father, really prove otherwise. These kids look very loved. They just lost their dad. They really don't need to hear all these past allegations. I think this memorial was more to give these children some closure. They will take a long time to heal, ofcourse. Having lost my father at a young age too, I know I feel their pain. Before we start to judge Michael, remember he was always in the public eye, everything was scrutinized and fingers are always quick to point. Before we point that finger at him turn that finger around and point it back to ourselves. The media and the public are really to be blamed.
OOOHHH, Some of you are so cruel. MJ was proven innocent of charges. You were not there, you don't know what happened. You can only speculate. Don't be so accusatory until you know what you are talking about. Don't hate because he was the greatest entertainer of ALL time. Appreciate what he accomplished as an entertainer and humanitarian. My mom taught me if I didn't have anything nice to say, then not to say anything. Why don't you just STFU until you have all of the facts.

i don't think our judicial system is so broken. He wasn't found guilty for a reason. Having settled those cases proves nothing. Plus you have to know he had lawyers who advised on best course of action . There are those who will love him no matter what, others hate him no matter what .Others can't seem to make up their mind . Having said that, i never get the fuss people make when people die. Its like a big shock, we are all headed there so get over it. All this media frenzy needs to end . Dudes gone, lets move on.
I would like to state for the record that I am, in no way, minimizing Michael Jackson's achievements. I also believe that growing up in the spotlight the way he did tends to screw people up so all of his late weirdness wouldn't have been entirely his fault. HOWEVER it is not possible to deny what he has done that has been caught on tape. Hanging a baby out the window is never, under any circumstances OK. I'm learning the mental health field and I don't believe that any child would make up molestation as there are too many conflicting feelings going on about it. Many celebrities, especially someone known as the King of Pop, would have an easier time being found innocent by a jury.
A freak is dead! So what, let's move on. We hold a singer in higher esteem than doctors, police officers, teachers and fireman.

Yes he was found innocent on 1 of the charges but bought himself out of the rest by a settlement so what part of a settlement means not guilty I remember a few years ago a comic said us blacks have a hero named michael jordan and the whites have michael jackson the same comic was crying on tv about how much he will miss him give me a break it is what it is and he was what he was period
Personally i always thought MJ was a loser lol...he was cute as a kid and then turned into a freak of nature...whos nose fell off...and had a thing for little boys...and had the funkyest yet stupidest dance moves ever...he was quit a character...i dont like him..never have..once a new celeberty dies everyone will forget MJ and mourne the new dead guy..its the mob mentality..he was such a freak tho!! lol LOOK AT HIS FACE HAHAHA! man oh man what loser...anyways...that all i have to say about him..let it be known! To you closed minded people who can't see past the headline on the National Enquirer, the guy was innocent. They ask over 200 people to testify and none would. The only ones that said anything bad was a few exemployees that had been fired and held a grudge and that family that had tried to extort money from other stars. The mother went to prison after the trial for welfare fraud but that didn't make headlines. A reporter at the trial said it was so clear hat the kid made it up. His story was inconsistant. Michaels made millions from his music, looks and dance moves. The only losers here are people who hate someone for only doing good.

@ anonymous Michael Jackson was not the first black artist on MTV. Look up Eddy Grant, Musical Youth, Joan Armatrading, Tina Turner, Jon Butcher Axis, The Bus Boys, Donna Summer...hell...even Prince and The Pointer Sisters were on MTV before him...
I am in my late 20's and I can honestly say that I never liked his music. When his songs come on in a club I leave the dance floor while everyone else goes nuts.
As far as his personal life he was a total freak who scarred the lives of little boys who's families must be so outraged right now.
Farrah Fawcett was a true icon who died from cancer. She did not do anything wrong. Michael Jackson created his own problems with drugs which ultimatly lead to his demise.
If Jackson was still alive he would still be the butt of all jokes and slammed in the tabloids. I feel like I can't say how I really feel to anyone because they'll freak out on me. People are just plain stupid.

I agree with Kate--people are just plain stupid, but I'm reversing her comment at her. HE DIDN'T DO IT-IT WAS NEVER PROVED-AND HE WAS AQCUITTED OF ALL CHARGES. At times it seems that we are incredibly stupid Americans, mentally incapable of processing fact over juicy tabloid.
The fist accuser was a greedy failed dentist (Evan Chandler) who was constantly begging Jackson to buy him a home, and in FACT eventually drugged his son and cohersed him. He claimed it was for a tooth procedure, but the drug he used was a drug the affects human suggestion and it didn't link up to the procedure he claimed it was for. The son to this day never admitted anything and emancipated himself from his parents. Evan took money to go away and drop the case which parents of real victims NEVER do. Evan Chandler eventually KILLED HIMSELF.
Parent number 2 Janet Arvizo, DID go to court where she was CAUGHT in lies, inconsistent, didn't prove her case and was exposed to have a life long rap sheet of lying in court and suing other companies and business for trumped charges including JC Pennies where she was caught shoplifting with her whole family. Her case was tossed out and MJ was acquitted. Believe it or not, that's it.
So what is this entire hub about? It's about dishonoring a heralded American genuis who was beset upon by greedy schemers and his image will always be tarnished because of societies ignorance.
You should delete this hub and write a hub about the problems of social stupidety, media and tabloid addiction. Your hub isn't based on fact, just opinion that should be corrected. I explain it all in a hub on my page if you care to look at facts and change your perspective, something that should've preceded you taking the time to write this. I just pray that no one in your family becomes rich and gets accused of something for money and subjected anything like MJ was.
